Alongside a flowing pipeline of Protro releases, it seems Nike is intent on honoring Kobe’s legacy through the Air Force 1. Following the release of two Kobe Forces in 2024, we’re learning of some follow-up styles landing for the “Year Of The Mamba” in 2025. The Beaverton brand’s Fall 2025 catalog includes a “Linen” colorway, and looking further ahead, the “Lenticular” style previously teased by Vanessa Bryant is now penciled in for Holiday 2025.
As seen below, the design tributes the Black Mamba with an all-snakeskin upper. Looking at the medial side of the left sneaker, the lenticular material appears to have a bit of an iridescent, pink finish to it. Double-stacked Swoosh logos add an even more premium edge, as do custom lace dubraes featuring “Mamba” text cut-outs.
Importantly, Nike’s lineup of Kobe Air Force 1s is anything but random. Kobe famously wore AF1s during his sneaker free agency stint in the early 2000s, also trotting out a white and orange colorway during his well-documented trick to NYC’s iconic Rucker Park.
As mentioned, the “Lenticular” Kobe Bryant Air Force 1 is expected to release during the Holiday 2025 shopping season (between October-December). We’ll circle back with official images and concrete release details when they become available.
