It hasn’t been a picture-perfect start for Anthony Edwards and the Timberwolves (losing a perennial All-Star and incorporating two new important pieces will do that to you), creeping out to a .500 start in the early stretch of the season. However, the same can’t be said about the Anthony Edwards 1, a silhouette that’s been racking up standout colorways and buzzy promotional moments with incredible consistency. That run is set to continue into 2025, as the newly unveiled AE1 Low “3SSB PE” and the “Arctic Night” edition at hand would indicate.
The colorway at hand carries some significant Timberwolves overtones, donning the dark navy and “Scream Green” tonality that runs rampant throughout their various jersey styles. The most notable innovation, though, is the finish on the honeycomb siding, taking on an anodized luster that presents some multi-color fare as the light hits it.
To that end, the toe-cap presents some additional peripheral flair, lighting up its 3M material when illuminated. While the aforementioned “3SSB” pair speaks to the increasing experimentation that the German giant is bringing to the model, this showcases how there’s still plenty of room to set new looks apart from the crowd, even within the bounds of two-tone colorways.
The adidas Anthony Edwards 1 Low “Arctic Night” is projected to land sometime in 2025, landing with the typical $110 MSRP in men’s sizing.
