Andrew Rizzo The steady rollout of A Ma Maniére’s 10th anniversary “While You Were Sleeping” collection continues with the Maniére Air Force 1 on November 22nd.
These offer genderless appeal and versatility for days, crafted with an agreeable, tan-colored upper. As with everything James Whitner’s brand touches, it’s the details that make the shoe pop. The A Ma Maniére logo appears in place of “AIR” text on the midsole, while the brand’s “A” insignia is utilized as a monogram on the sock lining. The toe box perforations are repositioned in the shape of AMM’s “A” logo, complemented by a matte silver Swoosh with a shiny border. While hardly a focal point in this case, AMM also tweaks the stitching up top. The panel edges are more rounded than that of your run-of-the-mill AF1, underscoring the subtle elegance and refinement A Ma Maniére has come to be known by.
This marks the second to last shoe in AMM’s multi-brand “While You Were Sleeping” Nike Inc. collection, preceding the Maniére Converse Weapon (which is likely to release in December).
