adidas and Anthony Edwards are stepping on the gas for the Playoffs, revealing the all-new AE1 Low in yet another audacious ad campaign that proves they’re not ducking any smoke and creating it at the same time. Officially debuting during Game 1 of the MIN/PHX Playoffs series in Round 1, the adidas AE1 Low was front-and-center largely due to Anthony Edwards’ heroics.
THE FIRST LOOK
The AE1 Low first appeared via an Instagram video posted by Anthony himself and adidas Basketball. A continuation of their bold ad campaign that launched in October 2023, this latest spot features Anthony and pal inside a Saab 900 Cabrio — possibly an homage to the film Paid In Full. Anthony drops the top on the vehicle and sticks his leg out on the side-view mirror to unveil the AE1 Low in a bright orange/pink colorway, continuing a trend of vibrant, peach-toned colors.
THE “MURAL” COLORWAY
The version of the AE1 Low is officially called the “Mural” colorway. The AE1 Low looks very similar to the AE1, but modified to have a lower cut. The exterior foam web-like cage remains untouched, leaving the “Low” responsibility to the mere reduction of the ankle. A detailed gallery of images via content creator @tanztz has been revealed.
RELEASE INFORMATION
As of the publishing of this article, the adidas AE1 Low release date has yet to be confirmed. However, they are expected to release Summer 2024 with an MSRP of $110 and will be available on adidas.com as well as partnering retailers including Foot Locker and Champs. If you are a fan of the Mid-cut version of the adidas AE1, don’t worry; several releases are planned throughout the Summer and Fall seasons.
