The Nike Foamposite One is on a retro run consisting of some of its most prized and culturally significant colorways. Following the return of the “Eggplant” and “Royal,” the “Copper” is poised to hit shelves for the first time in seven years this December. Just as we saw with the two preceding retros, the 2010-born “Copper” will also be available in kid’s sizing.
The Little Posite One, aka the kid’s version of the Foamposite One, features metallic-brushed “Copper” sidewalls and a black mesh interior here. To the uninitiated; the Foamposite originally debuted in 1997 as Penny Hardaway’s signature shoe. The “Copper” theme comes as a spin on Penny Hardway’s name, amplifying the “1 Cent” backtab logo in clever fashion.
How the Foamposite One’s revival is going depends entirely on how you judge success. The “Eggplant” and “Royal” colorways weren’t all too difficult to cop and can now be purchased for under retail on the grey market (in most sizes). As the same time, while the shoe might not pass the hype test, those who were around for Foamposite mania in the 2010s surely aren’t complaining about having easier access this time around.
The Little Posite One “Copper” will release via Nike SNKRS and retailers on December 4th alongside the adult-sized Copper Foamposite. Return to our “Where To Buy” section below for purchase links on that date.
In related news, the Galaxy Foamposites are expected to return in 2025.
