With the sneaker industry reorienting to slip on styles (see the New Balance 1906L or Air Jordan 1 Mule), we’ve got to give Nike their flowers. The Oregon company was already way ahead of the game with the Nike Clogposite, a slide version of the Flightposite first trotted out in 2000. After a brief retro treatment in 2014, the shoe is back in all its glory, this time clad in trademark “Triple Black.”
The combination of black & “Metallic Silver” here is successful once again, but you mostly know what you’re getting at first blush. Midnight drapes the profile from heel to toe, while slight chrome accents peek out via swatches of the outsole. In terms of performance, the Foamposites and all of the offshoots that utilize their technology boast durability first and foremost, unchanged even in this warm weather application. However, the nylon bootie that secures the foot and extends to the tongue, a remnant of the OG Flightposite equation, also adds comfort into the equation.
Neither this pair or the Nike Clogposite “Silver” have had their release date confirmed. However, we’re expected a Fall 2024 debut at a $140 price point. You can catch official images included just ahead.
