Sneaker News Updated April 8th, 2024: This Air Jordan 9 Golf is revealed to be a collaboration with Happy Life Wood, the wood artisan known for their incredible hand-made wooden re-creations of iconic sports ephemera. The design is inspired by materials used in golf equipment in the past. The shoes are scheduled to release on April 10th, 2024.

There are only a handful of sports venues in the world that can rival the rich history of Augusta National Golf Club. Home to the Masters since 1932, Augusta has been the platform to some of the game’s most iconic and memorable moments that a firmly etched into the annals of the sport.
For the upcoming 2024 Grand Slam event, Jordan Brand presents a premium take on the Air Jordan 9 Golf that calls back to the history of the game. Leather mudguard overlays feature woodgrain textures for a touch of elegant history as the detail is possibly a nod to the wooden clubs used in earlier eras of the game. The soft light-tan suede emanates a matching level of premium touch, while on the insole is the Jumpman logo placed as if it was burned into wood. A metallic name-plate sits on the tongue; finishing off the design is suede Jumpman patch acts as the hangtag — an accessory reserved for heightened executions.
Michael Jordan’s love of golf is obviously a major driving force behind Jordan Brand’s continual efforts in the game, although entirely through footwear. But with these limited issues such as these, storytelling will always push the culture of Jordan’s greatness across all sport.
