Original article published April 14th, 2025: As the picture of 2025 Jordan Releases began to crystallize towards the end of 2024, a growing narrative was the return of the “Big Swoosh” build famously seen on pairs like the Jordan 1 Low “Chicago” from 2015. Though some of the editions released in Q1 and Q2 (“Rookie of the Year,” “Obsidian”) didn’t carry that beloved detail, an early release of the “Washed Teal” Jordan 1 Low OG signals that those reports were indeed accurate, albeit a bit belated.
A thinned-out, sized-up Swoosh, rounded toe-box, and bulkier overall paneling are the foremost changes from the silhouette we’ve received in the past several years. This specific colorway clocks in rather familiar within the register of women’s Jordans, capturing soft pastels throughout an all-suede upper, with tufted materials coating the Swoosh. A translucent green outsole and subtly tinted midsole are further tied in via tie-dye lace options. Even if these aren’t your speed, as insider @MrUnloved1s notes, the Air Jordan 1 Low OG “Quai 54” presents another opportunity to get in on the new hardware, as do drops coming further down the line like the Nigel Sylvester Jordan 1 Low.
The Air Jordan 1 Low OG “Washed Teal” has already released early via Nordstrom, retailing for $140 and capped out at size W11. A wider launch is reportedly queued up for June 18th. Catch advanced retail shots included ahead while we await that further release.
