For those who still gesture towards Peter Moore’s design when filling out an outfit (and to your defense, there are few models that beat it in the goes-with-everything bracket), Nike’s messaging brought good and bad news. Though the Dunk will continue to shrink in the Swoosh’s overall portfolio, it’s not going anywhere, as Elliot Hill confirmed there are no plans to sunset the retro model. Almost as if to celebrate, the Nike Dunk Low now slides into a cheery, brightened palette of white and “Ashen Slate.”
Atop of an all-white leather foundation, a swatch of “Ashen Slate” interrupts this Dunk Low via the Swoosh, splitting the profile in the process. It’s not an entirely unsupported choice, as similar steely tonality overtakes the heel cup and Nike tag on the tongue. Simply put, it’s not an overly complicated colorway: knocking on the door of “Triple White” allows this shoe to make good as an easily reached-for shoe, while the accent shade brings some seasonal flair in closing.
As an earnest GR product, the Nike Dunk Low “Ashen Slate” will likely populate Nike.com and retail shelves as we work through the Summer 2025 shopping season. Expect a $115 retail price once you come across this pair.
