A quarter of the way through 2025, the adidas Samba “Cheetah Print” is unquestionably one of the surprise hits of the year, bridging the gap between the low-profile appeal of the model with the statement piece potential of animal prints. We’d never accuse a brand of copying another’s notes, but it seems fair to say that a similar balance is struck with one of Nike’s latest offerings, a duo of Field General ’82 “Leopard Print” colorways.
Though tracing its origins from football instead of soccer, these “Leopard” Field General looks still takes to the same gum bottom finish, yet rather than printing the furry creatures across the entire upper, restricts it to the Swoosh and heel cup. Nonetheless, that eye-catching detail does well to contrast the more staid foundation that plays out on both the white and black editions. The latter manages to sneak a bit more color into its profile with a pine green sock-liner, leaving its counterpart as an all-neutral affair.
These two Nike Field General 82 “Leopard Print” pairs are already available via select global sites. Expect them to land stateside via Nike.com and partnering retailers during the Summer 2025 shopping season for $100 a piece.
