Consistent with the first look images of the Air Jordan 4 “Brick By Brick”, the Nigel Sylvester joint is largely centered around an all “Firewood Orange” upper, with “Sail” accents on the midsole and the forefoot mini-Swoosh, a returning motif from his take on both the Air Jordan 1 and the Air Jordan 4 RM. With this release turning “Bike Air” from an attention-grabbing detail to a bonafide series, of course the branding note returns on the heel tab. Moreover, Sylvester has mentioned in interviews that he has high hopes for the future of “Bike Air,” aiming to carve out an earnest sub-brand within the Jumpman.

Coming seven years after his inaugural AJ1 did, the “Brick by Brick” Jordan 4 title emphasizes the narrative growth the Nigel Sylvester catalog. While that aforementioned retro and its distressed detailing was plenty to launch his lineage, this and the “Grandma’s Driveway” elucidate how the BMX superstar is intent on showcasing his personal journey on successive drops.
