We come across a lot of collaborations that look like general releases, but what about GRs that look like collabs? New Balance has been pushing a “Neon Nights” theme on models like the 9060 and 1906R, and now they’ve given the same treatment to the re-emerging New Balance 740. Apart from nuanced storytelling, it’s got all the makings of an Action Bronson shoe.
Much like Mr. Baklava’s various projects with the Boston brand, the “Neon Nights” 740 brings several vibrant colors to a helm. The base comes in “Concord Grape” mesh, with a slightly lighter “Purple Fuchsia” shade landing on the forefoot overlay and sock lining. Yellow “Sun Glow” hits appear notably on the tongue tag, New Balance logos, and front portion of the outsole, while bright orange makes a loud imposition across the midsole. Last but not least, light blue is spotted within black and silver outlining around the quarter/heel.
The “Neon Nights” New Balance 740 would fly off shelves if it were an Action Bronson collab, but since it’s not, full unisex sizes are currently sitting on newbalance.com. See our “Where To Buy” section below for purchase links.
Speaking of Bam Bam, check out the Action Bronson New Balance 990v6 “Amazonia” releasing in 2025.
