This Kids’ New Balance 9060 Blends Together Navy & “Ice Wine”

New Balance's heavy Fall/Winter slate adds one for the GS crowd.

This Kids’ New Balance 9060 Blends Together Navy & “Ice Wine”

The New Balance 9060 has comfortably carved out its lane in adult street style, almost as common a silhouette as you can find in any metro area. While GS pairs have been on offer for a while, the Boston brand is redoubling its efforts to reach the younger demographic. Amid a slew of Champs-led first looks, we’re now getting a look at an animated blue and pink edition set to land on November 7th.

Most eye-catching in this design is the “Ice Wine” tonality that takes over the midsole, complemented by lilac hues on the jagged “teeth” that crash through. The upper, however, relies on a more staid formula, blending Navy suede and off-white mesh in a layout that we’ve seen grace New Balance staple shoes for years and years. While the retailer lists this as a boys’ release, the heavy use of blue and pink makes this a match for any burgeoning sneakerhead, its animated palette only enhanced by the enduring off-kilter hardware of the New Balance 9060.

The New Balance 9060 “Navy/Ice Wine” releases via Champs on November 7th, retailing at $110. It’s unclear whether this colorway is a true Champs exclusive, but we’ll keep you posted with any additional channels through which these become available.
