Air Jordan 3 “Lucky Shorts” Releasing Spring 2025

The Air Jordan 40th anniversary keeps getting deeper.

Air Jordan 3 “Lucky Shorts” Releasing Spring 2025

2025 is an incredibly important anniversary for Jordan Brand, marking 40 years on the market for the one of the most influential product lines in footwear. As such, the typical early info we get around this time of year carries much more weight, and some seminal retros like the Air Jordan 5 “Metallic,” Jordan 5 “Grape” and Air Jordan 1 “Bred” are already confirmed. However, some new formulations are also on tap, and that side of the upcoming slate is getting a boost with the Air Jordan 3 “Lucky Shorts.”

As most great Air Jordans do, the Jordan 3 “Lucky Shorts” is arrives with some storytelling punch. The UNC-adjacent “Hydrogen Blue” & “Legend Blue” confirmed for this pair are taken from one of MJ’s core superstitions, rocking his alma maters’ workout gear underneath his Bulls attire for each and every one of his 1072 NBA games. The shorts in question carry mostly University Blue overtones with some slight white accenting in the margins, so the the additional notes of “Photon Dust,” “Summit White,” “Pure Platinum” & “Sail” on this shoe will likely combine for a rather conservative outfit.

Those tapped into early Jordans info might be taken aback by this news given the previous announcement of the Air Jordan 3 “Hydrogen Blue” for next year, but @zsneakerheadz suggests this is an update to that pair rather than an addition alongside.

As always, the layout and further particulars of the Air Jordan 3 “Lucky Shorts” will become clearer as we approach Spring 2025. For now, keep an eye on our Jordan Release Dates page for the latest elsewhere in the brand’s plans. Get a very early sense for this release via the speculative mockup below.
