The Air Jordan 6 “Olympic” Returns In Original Form

OG color blocking is back.

The Air Jordan 6 “Olympic” Returns In Original Form

Among a slew of Nike and Jordan Brand drops centered around the 2024 Paris Olympic Games, the return of the Air Jordan 6 “Olympic” stands out as one of the more prized pairs. What’s more is that the 2024 retro aligns perfectly with the original version that dropped for the Sydney Olympic Games back in 2000, whereas the shoe’s 2012 makeup featured slight changes, mostly towards the forefoot portion of the midsole.

A first look at the 2024 version reveals layers of white and blue from the top down in that area, while the 2012 pair swapped those colors to produce a slightly darker look underfoot. That might be an inconsequential change for casual sneakerheads, but Jordan purists are most definitely glad to see the shoe abide by its original look.

Thus far, the Air Jordan 6 “Olympic” has been released twice; the original 2000, and the first Retro in 2012. The upcoming August 3rd release will mark the third overall time the shoe has been available to the public. Despite the waning interest of Air Jordan Retros not named the Air Jordan 3 or Air Jordan 4, the Olympic Jordan 6 has enough of a cachet to command attention on the market.
