Fresh Foam technology is the driver behind New Balance’s modern running line, and now it enters mule category by way of the new Fresh Foam X RCVRY. Slip-on footwear has become a more and more profitable niche in recent years and this invention continues the Boston brand’s foray into that category, adding to a lineup that includes the 2002R Mule among other new cuts.
Black, Tamarind, and Concrete Grey colorways mark the RCVRY (recovery) mule’s debut, appropriate treatments given the model’s clear embrace of industrial design aesthetics. Fresh Foam material makes up nearly the entire build, broken up into multiple pieces that distinguish an upper and lower half, with sparse cutouts adding breathability up top. Inside, the RCVRY boasts 360° foot massaging treatments for premium comfort when resting on the sidelines – the core function behind the mule’s tooling and namesake.
All three colorways are available now from newbalance.com for $100 each, and some sizes are even starting to sell out already. Enjoy official images of each pair below and tap the corresponding purchase links if you feel compelled to buy.
