Over the last 40 years, the Nike Pegasus series has helped people of all skill levels get moving. As the Nike Zoom Pegasus 40 begins its release cycle, the silhouette is honoring several Oregon-based running clubs. Case in point?: A pair commemorating Union Athletics Club from Portland.
Akin to other styles inspired by the Bowerman Track Club and Oregon Track Club, the pair honoring the Union cohort – formerly the Nike Oregon Project – takes on a two-tone arrangement. Breathable textile uppers and foam midsoles opt for clean white finishes that allow for the slightest of contrast to shine. Profile swooshes, laces, and “UNION”-branded tabs in the tongue deviate in a rich royal blue hue. The professional club’s name also lands on the spine with a reflective touch. Lastly, outsoles opt for a black look that doesn’t detract much from the rest of the celebratory shoe.
Enjoy official photos of the pair ahead, as you wait for nike.com release details.
