Jovani Hernandez Initially teased in late June as part of his tour in Paris, the Salehe Bembury x New Balance 990v2 “Sand Be The Time” finally sees a wide retailer release on December 22nd.
Officially unveiled with the help of Thundercat, the upcoming sneakers draw inspiration from nature, just like most of Bembury’s collaborative footwear projects of the last two years. “Misty Rose”-colored hairy suede and ultra-breathable mesh take over much of the pair’s upper, with “Purple Passion” contrast arriving in the form of leather accents at the toe and chenille profile “N” logos; branding on the top of the tongue also indulge in the rich purple tone. The sand dune-inspired color combination continues underfoot, with cushioning and traction solutions donning dessert and sunset-like colors.
