This Nike Air Max 97 Gets Repetitive, Literally

Christian Tresser revolutionized swoosh-branded footwear in 1997 when he designed the Nike Air Max 97. As the sneaker celebrates its 25th anniversary, the Swoosh has been dressing it up in dozens of compelling new styles.

Recently, a kid’s-exclusive ensemble emerged pairing muted black, reflective silver and vibrant orange. Most of the upper indulges in a mix of traditional materials, with even the center vamp overlay injecting some previously-seen contrast to the outfit. Mid-foot panels on both sides of the Air Max shoe, however, introduce a non-standard all-over “NIKE” print that works in-tandem with reflective materials to further animate the kid’s proposition.

Enjoy official images of the pair ahead, and anticipate a Nike.com launch soon.

In related sneaker news, the Air Jordan 1 is set to release in dozens of new styles before 2022 ends.
