Nike Air Max technology has revolutionized the sneaker industry on several occasions since debuting in 1987. In the mid-2000s, the brand celebrated its game-changing innovation with the “History of Air” campaign, which has ostensibly led the way for the latest “Anatomy of Air” series.
As the story goes, a relatively inexperienced designer by the name of Sergio Lozano looked to the human body for the creation of the Nike Air Max 95, one of the most visually-different products offered by the Swoosh up to that point. The brand played up this detail by pitching background information on the sneaker under the “Anatomy of Air” campaign, which also appears on the underside of the latest style’s tongue. Furthermore, the vamp overlays that resemble layers atop of layers of muscle and nerves indulge in a mix of “Team Red,” “University Red” and pink hues informed by what’s underneath the epidermis. A flesh-like beige lands at the lace loops and midsole, with visible Air Max units also following suit. Details on the tongue label and outsole round out the next “Anatomy of Air” proposition by making direct reference to the body.
Enjoy official images of the pair ahead, and anticipate a Nike SNKRS launch before 2022 ends.
