Reebok and ‘Jurassic Park’ Team Up on Sneakers Inspired by Characters From the 1993 Movie

Calling all Jurassic Park fans.

Reebok has teamed up with Universal Brand Development on a full-family footwear collection inspired by the beloved 1993 film. Available now on Reebok.com, the collaboration features apparel and footwear that pay homage to the film’s main characters, props and large reptiles.

Characters Dennis Nedry and Dr. Alan Grant are remembered through two Club C 85 releases. Nedry’s iteration is designed with a floral print heel — reminiscent of the first shirt he wears in the film —  a zebra-striped pony hair heel cap that’s a nod to the screensaver on his computer and a yellow tongue done in a rubber raincoat material for the doctor’s attempt to escape with the stolen dinosaur embryos. The second Club C modeled after Dr. Grant is executed with tan suede uppers, a bandana collar lining and denim-colored outsole.

For Dr. Malcolm, Reebok updated the Classic Leather with a “chaotic lateral side” that pays tribute to Malcom’s unique fashion sense and a medial side finished with the Jurassic Park logo and brooch jewel detail.

Also included in the lineup is a Club C Legacy silhouette inspired by Mr. DNA’s process of recreating the dinosaur. It’s made with clear TPU outsoles that reveal a Mr. DNA strand logo on the left shoe and a mosquito graphic on the right shoe, as well as a cracked egg collar and bubbled heel.

Meanwhile, props inspire the look of the Instapump Fury OG — featuring a leather collar lining that resembles the seats of Jurassic Park guest vehicles — and the Zig Devil Kinetica, which includes a translucent ripstop upper and grid design that pay tribute to the electric fences found on the grounds. What’s more, the Jurassic Stomper includes leather and neoprene uppers inspired by the uniforms of the infield InGen staff. (To promote the launch, Reebok even created a parody news segment that announces a “partnership” between Reebok and the fictional bioengineering corporation responsible for recreating dinosaurs in the original Jurassic Park film.)

And for all dinosaur lovers, the Pump Omni Zone 2 includes graphics evocative of the carnivorous Dilophosaurus.
