Looking for ways to sweeten up your wardrobe this spring? Dr. Scholl’s is here to help, thanks to its collaboration with the iconic bakery chain Milk Bar, released today. The premise? A color-happy spin on the brand’s original Rebel Sport Sneaker, already beloved for its responsibly sourced suede-and-leather upper, lightweight construction that won’t slow you down on busy days, and undeniably retro style. Now, sneakerheads with a penchant for the saccharine will be able to score the sneaker in five brand-new colorways inspired by Milk Bar’s top recipes. Each clocking it at only $100, we recommend getting multiple pairs for you and the sweetest people in your life.

The fresh hues (erm, flavors) of the Rebel Sport Sneaker now on offer include “Red Velvet Cheese Cake,” “Pretzel-y Choco Chip,” “Birthday Cake,” “Cornflake Crunch,” and “Cereal Milk.” While the cheesecake- and cornflake cereal–inspired colors (a saturated red and yellow, respectively) fit right into the bright footwear trend promoted by other buzzy, TikTok-viral kicks, “Birthday Cake” and “Cereal Milk” present themselves as black-and-white wardrobe staples that you can truly wear with anything, and the “Pretzel-y Choco Chip” embraces spring pastels via its baby blue hue marked by brown leather accents. Whatever shade you ultimately choose to invest in, know that you absolutely can’t go wrong, especially when considering the shoes’ more technical attributes like arch support insoles, leather sourced from Leather Working Group–certified tanneries, and anti-odor technology.

The rich legacy of Dr. Scholl’s was kickstarted in 1904, when Dr. William Mathias Scholl invented and patented his revolutionary arch support. He founded his eponymous brand two years later, and though it started off by selling innovative solutions for relieving foot pain — in the form of insoles, topicals, and beyond — footwear soon presented itself as the ideal avenue for expansion. Dr. Scholl opened his first Foot Comfort Shop in 1924, soon releasing a now-famous wooden clog sandal that became Dr. Scholl’s Shoes’ hero product. You can still shop the Original Sandal to this day, by the way, albeit in more modernized form: thereby taking full advantage of its seamless slip-on fit, luxe buckle detail, and natural beechwood materiality. In the past 100-plus years, the brand also tapped into the production of shoe styles like Mary Janes, loafers, boots, Oxfords, and more. As for past collaborations, Dr. Scholl’s Shoes joined forces with powerhouses the likes of Iris Apfel, Veronica Beard, and Kate Spade for much-anticipated reimaginings of its classic footwear.

Milk Bar might make for one of Dr. Scholl’s Shoes’ most syrupy and delightful partnerships. Founded in 2008 by award-winning pastry chef Christina Tosi, who many might know from her time serving as a judge on the TV show “Masterchef,” it went on to become one of the most famous bakery chains in the country — serving up creative spins on traditional American desserts. Tosi’s enterprise particularly pays homage to the flavor milk acquires when cereal flakes have taken their time steeping in it, so it’s really no wonder that one of the Dr. Scholl’s x Milk Bar Rebel Sport Sneaker styles is titled “Cereal Milk.”

If you’ve never thought to associate footwear with the adjective “mouthwatering,” Dr. Scholl’s Shoes’ collaboration with Milk Bar might change that. After all, the selections are almost as wonderful as a thick, calorie-rich piece of your favorite cake.
