Nordstrom’s Exclusive Reformation Drop of the Most Comfortable, Party-Ready Shoes Is Perfect for Spring Weddings and Everyday Wear

Nordstrom (everyone’s favorite retailer) recently joined forces with Reformation (everyone’s favorite sustainable clothing brand) to release six must-grab, exclusive footwear styles under $300 that will make you the trendiest guest at upcoming spring weddings… and the one who stays on the dance floor the longest, thanks to the shoes’ supreme comfort.
This month-long event is part of Nordstrom’s larger Make Room for Shoes initiative, in which it partners with iconic footwear brands for a month at a time: allowing customers to shop never-before-seen capsule collections that were crafted specifically for the retailer. It’s Reformation’s turn now, and we’re already obsessed with all the Nordstrom exclusive shoe styles, especially considering the quickly approaching spring wedding season.
There’s the Petra Sandal, for example, which is absolutely dazzling with its knotted metallic strap at center, cylindrical heel, and shimmery Brazilian leather finish. There’s also the much-adored Bethany Ballet Flat, now sold in an exclusive-to-Nordstrom embroidered nude mesh; the strappy and breezy Gen Heeled Sandal with a flared heel; the Natasha Pump that taps into the mesh shoe trend revived every summer like clockwork (and specifically the mesh heel trend we’ve eyed on recent runways); and beyond. The exclusivity factor comes in the form of brand-new silhouettes and fresh variations on classic Reformation shoes people already know and love.

Each and every Reformation shoe style sits at the intersection of style appeal and comfort. The Wilda Kitten Mule in the new, embroidered nude mesh, for instance, allows your toes to breathe and gives just the right amount of elevation without causing knee pain after the night’s revelries are over. The Serenity Heel Sandal, too, boasts a supple leather upper, lining, and sole that promise softness. Keeping true to their commitment to sustainable practices since 2009, Reformation’s Nordstrom styles are made of leather sourced from Leather Working Group–certified tanneries, use 75 percent less virgin plastic compared to conventional footwear, and adhere to other good-for-the-planet principles. The brand announced its efforts to be climate positive by this year, and so this latest drop is proof that it’s taking active steps to get there.
As for Nordstrom, this collaboration and the year-long Make Room for Shoes campaign as a whole was put in place to celebrate and epitomize the mega retailer’s 100-plus years of being passionate about shoes and its goal of “giving customers the opportunity to discover what’s next in shoes across all life stages,” according to Tacey Powers, executive vice president and general merchandise manager for shoes at Nordstrom. This meant teaming up with companies like Sperry last month, on a boat shoe lineup adorned with accents such as beads and little martini illustrations; Birkenstock last spring, via four all-new silhouettes and color combos that took the universally known sandals to a whole new level; and more. With regard to Reformation specifically, Powers told FN that “[it] does an incredible job balancing trending elements with timeless designs, and this collection delivers versatile styles we hope our customers will love.”
Truly, each of the six styles solves the annual spring quandary of finding sandals and heels that look pretty-as-can-be while lacking a sky-high price tag and keeping you comfy always, but especially when you have to be on your feet for an extended period of time (read: during the aforementioned weddings or date nights that end in long city strolls). Unlike with some pricey designer stilettos — whose only distinguishing factor, in most cases, is a fancy brand name — no detail is left unaccounted for in Reformation’s Nordstrom shoe capsule. Expect the same thoughtfulness to be found in its footwear offerings that Reformation puts into apparel, like the best spring dresses that will instantly complement your new Nordstrom shoe purchases, chic knit tops, and slouchy jeans for every kind of weather.
