How To Wear Sorel Boots, According to Celebrity Stylist Kate Young
As a New Yorker, celebrity stylist Kate Young said winter boots are a key shoe staple in her wardrobe. And the chicest of them all? Sorel, she added.
Young, whose client roster includes Selena Gomez, Margot Robbie and Sophie Turner, has been a fan of the brand for some time. So much so, she caught the company’s attention late last year.
“The way we all met was because I kept saying that I wore them,” she told FN, about their recent partnership. “If you live in New York, you actually need boots.”
The two teamed up in October 2019 for Sorel’s first-ever runway show, which sent models down a mile-long catwalk in New York City’s Meatpacking district. Young had to come up with 100 looks for the event.
In addition to pairing Sorel boots with classic winter ensembles, such as cozy sweaters, Young suggested shoppers style their boots with a simple jumpsuit.

“Even a silky jumpsuit with one of their high-heeled options — it looks really put together,” she added. “The boots are sometimes high so what can happen is it cuts your calf. If you wear something that’s all one piece, you still look elongated.”
