Plus-Size Consignment Site ResellXL Now Sells Wide-Calf Boots, Too

If you’re looking for a deal in wide-calf boots, there’s a new retail destination for you. ResellXL, an online consignment business focused on plus-size designer apparel and accessories, now includes an offering of these gently worn, hard-to-find boots.

The site, which launched in June, specializes in women’s sizes 14 and over. According to its founder, Carolyn Thompson, there had been an uptick in requests for boots with wider calves. “The No. 1 question from customers was if we had these boots and what was the calf measurement,” she said.

Finding plus-size clothing and wider-calf boots can be a challenge, especially for women in smaller cities with limited shopping options. “We receive hundreds of pieces weekly at our warehouse near Washington, D.C.,” she said. “Our racks are filled with plus-size items — size 14, XL and up, from stores like Nordstrom, Saks, Neiman Marcus and Bloomingdales [among others].”

ResellXL makes buying and selling easy — those interested in selling items can request a free shipping label, and buyers can set up a list of preferred brands. All items not accepted for any reason will be donated, unless accompanied by a return-item form. (A $30 charge will be deducted from payouts if over 10 percent of items in a shipment cannot immediately be listed for sale due to missing tags or poor condition.)
