Tilda Swinton turned up to the premiere of “Queer,” Luca Guadignino’s new film, at the 2024 Venice Film Festival wearing a eye-grabbing white ensemble. The actress opted for a white dress and a pair of blue pumps featuring an ankle strap.
Swinton’s high neck, asymmetrical dress white silk dress is from Maison Alaïa. Much of the cast and crew wore Loewe including Leslie Manville, Drew Starke and Omar Apollo as the brand’s artistic director Jonathan Anderson designed the costumes for the film.
In fact, Swinton’s entire look, including the turquoise shoe, was from Maison Alaïa. It is the company’s Decollete pump, which features the signature A-shaped stem which comes up high on the leg. The stem attaches to an ankle strap with a small silver buckle. The shoe also features a rounded toe and 3.5 inch heel. The turquoise shoes are made from a calf leather material.
Maison Alaia currently sells the Decollete pumps for $1,490.

The silhouette was just seen on the red carpet in Venice yesterday. Taylor Russell, who is quickly becoming a fashion darling, wore a version of Swinton’s shoes in white with a custom Alaïa crop-top and drop waist skirt. Earlier this year while on her “Challengers” tour, Zendaya swapped out her go-to Christian Louboutin “So Kate” pumps in order to wear the Decollete. The white version is in patent leather.
While in Venice for the film festival, Swinton has been a hit on the red carpet wearing a series of pumps. She wore a gray pair of pumps with a Chanel couture coat and trouser set in addition to wearing a pair of black Manolo Blahnik pumps to another event. The Manolo Blahnik stilettos were matched with a custom look from the brand Delpozo.
