Stuart Weitzman Launches New 5050 Sneakers Inspired By Its Signature Boots
Stuart Weitzman‘s fall collection is expanding with brand-new sneakers — which are taking a page from one of the label’s signature shoes.
“Our sneakers are intentionally designed with the Stuart Weitzman woman in mind. She’s always on the go, always making bold moves, so we created a full range of innovative, precisely crafted sneakers that fits her wardrobe and her lifestyle,” said Weitzman’s CEO & brand president Giorgio Sarné in a statement. “We are delighted to offer her stylish and comfortable sneakers to inspire confidence for every moment of her life.”
One of those key styles is the 5050 sneaker — named after Weitzman’s own popular 5050 boots, a knee-high style with rounded toes and low ridged soles. The $275 shoes feature a similarly rounded silhouette, complete with knit collars and upper paneling for a smooth, flexible fit. Lace-up fronts, as well as paneled leather and suede, finish the style atop its faintly ridged white rubber soles — which can be seen in its white, black, beige and light brown colorways.
The versatile group of sneakers is only part of Weitzman’s new launch, however. The brand has also released the low-top 5050 Pro sneaker, a $325 style that features a similarly round-toed shape with lace-up fronts and knit collars. This style, however, only features three monochrome colorways — one black, one white and one light pink — accented by leather paneling, set atop smooth, shorter white rubber soles for a contemporary finish.
Weitzman’s 5050-inspired sneakers are a key style within the brand’s latest shoe lineup for the fall 2023 season. In addition, the label has also released a variety of contemporary and athletic-inspired sneakers, as well as various boots, booties, pumps and sandals, as well as trendy loafers and flats in a vast array of colors and finishes.
