Sneex has been voted one of Oprah’s Favorite Things of 2024.

Founded by Spanx founder Sara Blakely, the brand has been in the works for nine years — something the celebrated entrepreneur has spoken about via her website and Instagram.

The brand’s standout product is a sneaker-stiletto hybrid (also called hy-heels), which are made in Spain and feature a 78 millimeter heel, napa leather, Italian mesh and suede materials.

The buzzed-about footwear line has also become a favorite of Oprah’s longtime friend Gayle King. In August, King invited Blakely onto her show “CBS Morning,” sharing posts on Instagram afterwards where she raved about the shoe, including a video of her pushing a suitcase through the airport while rocking a pair of green Sneex saying people stopped her to ask where she purchased them.

The official Sneex statement via Oprah’s Favorite’s Things reads:

“Sara Blakely, the woman who brought us Spanx, thought, What if I made high heels as comfortable as sneakers? It took almost ten years, and the innovation is how it redistributes the weight off the ball of your foot. The result is a shoe Gayle wore for 12 hours straight!”

According to the website, the comfort aspects include reengineered weight distribution, a comfortable toe box and arch support to address the pain issues sometimes associated with wearing high heels.

“Back in start up mode. Let’s GOOOO! Another company with boxes in the garage. Reliving my [Spanx] days for sure. Only this time I actually have a garage. When I started Spanx I was in an apartment and they left all the boxes on my front porch. Oh… and I’ve got 4 kids in start-up mode now,” Blakely wrote in an Instagram post back in August.
