Sam Edelman is going west for the fall 2023 season, thanks to his latest shoe style.
The FNAA-winning designer has officially unveiled his newest collection, which notably includes the Aleksa pumps. This $150 style features smooth leather uppers with narrow toes in hues of classic black, deep bottle green and dark red, complete with small toe cutouts mimicking dapper formal shoe perforations.
For a sharp height boost, the style is complete with black soles with thick, angled Wester block heels — which total 3.95 inches in height for a burst of elevation. The pair is finished with thin Mary Jane straps atop each of their fronts for a preppy twist, cinched by small metal buckles shaped like Edelman’s signature “SE” logo for added security.

The style notably incorporates two of the season’s key shoe trends in one silhouette: Western boots and Mary Janes. Most prominently, however, its heels create the greatest statement from their chunky shape and angled setting — much like the Western-inspired shoes and cowboy boots that have soared in popularity during the fall season, and show no signs of slowing down anytime soon. Within its classic silhouette and color palette, the heel shape brings Edelman’s pumps a sharp flair — while also remaining balanced and stable for longtime wear, as well.
Sam Edelman’s fall 2023 collection features a wide array of boots, pumps, sandals and flats, elevated by trendy details ranging from Mary Jane straps to allover crystals, swirling brocade velvet and embellished buckles. All are cast in a deeply versatile color palette for the new season, featuring hues of black, brown, red and green, as well as a variety of metallic golds and silvers.
