Queen Letizia Shines in Monochromatic Red Leather Pumps at the 2022 National Sports Awards
At El Pardo Palace in Madrid, Queen Letizia of Spain and King Felipe presented several awards for the best Spanish athletes of the year at the 2022 National Sports Awards on Thursday. Queen Letizia complemented her ensemble with red heels for the special occasion.
The red heels she wore were made of sleek red leather, estimated to have a 3-inch stiletto heel and pointed toes.
The National Sports Awards “recognizes people and entities that, either through their direct activity or personal initiative, or as participants in the development of sports policy, have contributed significantly to promote or spread physical sports activity,” per an official palace statement. The 2022 edition of the event was postponed to 2024 due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Known for her preference for vibrant footwear, Queen Letizia has often paired bold-colored shoes with her classic monochromatic outfits. Just the day before, she wore fuchsia slingback pumps from Spanish designer Magrit while presenting the Gold Medals for Merit in Fine Arts.
