Katy Perry got all dolled up this week for a very important mission: get In-N-Out.
On Tuesday, the “Daisies” singer stopped by the beloved West Coast burger chain in chic fashion, posing outside in a red flare-leg jumpsuit cinched with a gold-buckled belt. The cherry-colored number came matched to easygoing sandals in a trending silhouette for summer 2021.
Typically considered “ugly” in the world of fashion, the new appreciation for comfortable sandal styles comes with an increased desire for ease of wear and stability in the fashion world amidst the current environment — and for 2021, too, it appears the shoes are here to stay. Brands like Teva and Birkenstock are at the forefront of the trend while celebs including Britney Spears, Tracee Ellis Ross and Sofia Richie can oftentimes be spotted in the silhouettes.
Perry herself is a longtime fan of sandals from Birkenstock and frequented the brand around election time late last year.

As for Perry herself, the new mom, who welcomed her first child with Bloom in August 2020, is no stranger to adding a bold piece to her rotation of ensembles. In addition to wearing standout looks and stylish shoes from Balmain, Bottega Veneta and Giuseppe Zanotti, the award-winning singer also has her own line of footwear. Perry launched her namesake collection in 2016 as a joint venture with Global Brands Group Holding Ltd.
“I like my shoes to tell a story through the heel, [asking]: ‘Can it be this or can it be that?’ I’ve tried to put many a different figure or ornament on the heels just to tell a story and to hopefully start conversations via your feet wherever you’re going, whatever you’re doing,” Perry told FN of her brand in 2018.
