Katy Perry got sporty in a pair of the Nike Space Hippie 03 sneakers while getting coffee in New York City.
Going the comfortable route after wearing Louboutin sandals in her “Call Her Daddy” interview with Alex Cooper, the “I Kissed a Girl” singer was spotted running errands in Tribeca on Wednesday morning. Showing off an athleisure fit, Perry wore a pair of gray compression shorts and a matching gray tank top. Tying her hair back in a bun, she accessorized her laid back look with a ball cap and dark shades and she walked through the area.
As for her footwear, the singer opted for a pair of the Nike Space Hippie 03 sneakers in the color Vast Grey Hyper Crimson. Originally released in 2020, the shoes are sustainably-made with Space Waste Yarn upper that includes roughly 90 percent recycled polyester. The upper portion of the shoe sits atop a crater foam midsole that combines various foams with Nike Grind Rubber, and is rounded out by the brands’ FlyEase technology and FastFit tightening system for extra security.
Perry enjoyed some down time as she is doing the promo rounds ahead of the release of her upcoming seventh studio album “143,” which is set to drop on Sept. 20. She has released two singles so far, “Woman’s World” and “Lifetimes.”
Sneakers are a common choice for walking around major cities due to their comfort, durability and support, with other celebrities being frequently spotted in them as well. In August, Emily Ratajkowski was spotted walking her dog Colombo in the Reebok X Catalyst Premier Road Modern sneakers. The shoes were crafted with a breathable upper and a rounded rubber outsole for breathable grip and traction, made with a black/gray colorway and included black laces as a complementary feature.
Last week at the 2024 US Open, New York Yankees outfielder Aaron Judge arrived on the blue carpet in a pair of casual Dior sneakers that were defined by their neutral-colored brown and gray accents. The sneakers also featured white laces for a styling contrast, and a grippy rubber outsole paving the way for durability, comfort and traction.
Many brands offer an assortment of athletic/casual sneakers including Nike, Adidas, Reebok, Puma and more.
