Receiving the highest honor of the night, Katy Perry accepted the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award at the 2024 MTV VMAs wearing a pair of futuristic Demobaza boots. Performing a 10-song medley that included her hits “Dark Horse,” “Firework” and “I Kissed a Girl,” Perry wore a space-themed custom bodysuit to match the extra-terrestrial vibes of her performance.
On her feet were a pair of Dimension boots from Demobaza, which are characterized by a highly detailed heavy cotton construction and a zipper closing. Also crafted with a thermal rubber sole that was grippy enough to allow her to perform a long set. The boots matched her outfit and glamorous long hair, which was emphasized through shimmery eyeshadow and lipgloss matching the theme of her performance.
Perry, who owns a shoe line herself, was presented the award by her partner Orlando Bloom, giving a passionate speech where she stated: “I’m excited when I look around music today and I see all the amazing young artists who are operating with confidence, agency, vulnerability, and authenticity,” she said after her epic performance.

Earlier in the evening, Perry appeared on the black carpet alongside Bloom, where she donned the hidden heels look, as the length of her low-waisted skirt covered her shoes.
The Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award is a lifetime achievement award given to recording artists and music video directors at the MTV Video Music Awards. The award was first handed out in 1984. The 2024 VMAs were held at the UBS Arena in Long Island, New York City and hosted by Megan Thee Stallion.
