Jimmy Choo has revealed that a second collaboration with the Japanese animated series “Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon” is slated for a global release on Oct. 9 in stores and online.

Jimmy Choo writes in an official release, “This collaboration sees Jimmy Choo delve deeper into the story of the Sailor Guardians, bringing five more beloved characters from the popular manga series to life across shoes, bags and a range of accessories.” Photos of the products are kept under wraps until the official drop.

Jimmy Choo released its first “Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon”-themed collection in 2023 in honor of the show’s 30th anniversary. Some of the bold and wide-ranging footwear included a knee-high pink boot with a stiletto heel; a green platform lace-up combat boot; a glossy blue platform ankle boot; a shiny red pointed-toe pump; a satiny orange platform pump; a hologram loafer; and printed sneakers. The collection included additional items like a purse with “Sailor Moon” imagery printed on it.

The first round of footwear resonated with many customers — Saweetie wore the hot pink Jimmy Choo x Sailor Moon Stretch Jersey knee-high boots at a Lakers game last year, matching the crystal-embellished shoes to a monochrome pink look accented with lots of silver jewelry.

Jimmy Choo is known to engage in a range of collaborations. Earlier in 2024, the brand partnered with Malbon Golf to release an athletic-inspired collection. Among other joint ventures, Jimmy Choo has also teamed up with Jean Paul Gaultier in the past — and Taylor Swift rocked one of the shoes from their collection in 2023.

Meanwhile, the “Sailor Moon” franchise has previously inspired collaborations with other popular brands like Skechers and Vans.
