Gabrielle Union is back to work this week, arriving on set for the remake of “Cheaper by the Dozen.” Union will star alongside Zach Braff as they reimagine the 2003 hit film with a multiracial family of 12, according to FN sister publication Variety.
For her first day behind-the-scenes, Union showed up in comfortable style. Her ensemble tapped designer Samantha Black, supporting a Black-owned business in the label’s $78 V-neck sweater and matching $120 wide-leg pants.
Silky styles and pajama-inspired loungewear has become the new normal when it comes to celebrity style. Amidst the current health crisis, the world of fashion is turning towards clothing that provides a sense of comfort and stability with ease of wear; that includes everything from biker shorts and hoodies to soft pants like Union’s pick.
The finishing touch for Union’s own on-set attire tapped her husband Dwyane Wade for footwear. The now-retired professional athlete started Way of Wade in collaboration with Chinese brand Li-Ning in 2013 and has since created stylish footwear, apparel and sports accessories. The “Bring It On” star herself modeled the brand’s chunky-sole sneakers set with mesh uppers, suede overlays and a unique lacing system.

Wearing Way of Wade sneakers is a regular occurrence for Union, who married the former NBA star in 2014. You can find the actress in a mix of silhouettes from her husband’s line, oftentimes matching them to everything from comfortable sweats to workout-ready attire.
When it comes to fashion, Union herself has had a lengthy partnership with New York & Co. that has led to successful collections, including a size-inclusive capsule for the holidays in December 2019. The actress also serves as a brand ambassador for SensatioNail and served as a spokesperson for years for Neutrogena.
