Dr. Martens and Heaven by Marc Jacobs are reuniting for a third collaboration — this time, giving a grungy twist to the classic Mary Jane.
The duo’s resulting Addina Bex style — which drops online on Oct. 20 — features a round-toed silhouette with smooth velvet uppers, cast in either jet-black or dark cherry-red colorways. The style notably features Dr. Martens‘ thick stacked rubber soles, accented by the British label’s signature yellow welt stitching for a tonal pop of color.
The style also includes wide velvet-covered front straps for a preppy flair, similar to Mary Jane heels and flats. However, this iteration’s adjustable uppers are woven through silver metal buckles crafted in the shape of two-headed teddy bears, bringing them a playful yet surreal edge. The animal is a notable mascot of Jacobs’ Heaven diffusion brand, which is regularly used as an accent on its subversive jewelry, handbags and clothing.
Dr. Martens and Heaven’s Addina Bex shoes mark the duo’s third footwear collaboration together. In 2021, the two debuted their first co-branded shoe, featuring a black crocodile-embossed version of its Audrick lace-up platform boots and similarly thick-soled loafers. The second, which dropped in 2022, included versions of Martens’ T-bar Mary Jane shoes and chunky platform sandals cast in smooth black leather.

Heaven’s Dr. Martens collaborations also overlap with Jacobs’ own, which first began in 2020 with a charm-accented version of its staple 1460 boots. Since then, the pair have also dropped collaborative takes on Martens’ Jadon boots in honor of the style’s tenth anniversary, as well.
