Dior is revamping chunky sneakers with a dash of Parisian flair this fall, thanks to its newest shoe.
The French fashion brand’s fall 2023 line by Maria Grazia Chiuri prominently features its new D-Connect sneaker, a round-toed women’s style with beige technical fabric uppers. The $1,130 style includes thick rubber soles with a treaded base, as well as rounded logo-embossed counters and leather paneling.
A futuristic edge is given to the shoe from its side panels: glossy clear rubber inserts, which sharply frame its woven front laces. The detail adds a sheen to the monochrome style, which is complete with front and back tabs for a utilitarian finish.
For a chic flair, the style’s matte fabric portion is covered with a black map-like pattern of the brand’s new “Plan de Paris” print, inspired by its historic boutique on 30 Avenue Montaigne in Paris.
Aside from its beige colorway, the D-Connect is also available in a houndstooth-printed iteration with white trim and similarly clear rubber side paneling. For those wanting a simpler take on the shoe, it’s also available in a $1,090 version with monochrome white, black or nude-toned colorways.
Aside from its D-Connect sneakers, Dior’s fall 2023 collection includes a range of platform sneakers, slingback pumps, loafers and heeled boots in hues of black, beige, pink, white and red — as well as prints ranging from florals to the aforementioned “Plan de Paris.” You can discover the full range on the label’s website.
In other Dior news, the brand will reveal its spring 2024 collection with its latest runway show on Sept. 26 in Paris during Paris Fashion Week. Currently, the show can be streamed online through Dior’s YouTube channel.
