On the runway, brands like Versace, Gucci and Marc Jacobs have been featuring platform shoes with chunky heels in the past few seasons. Meanwhile, footwear brands including Aquazzura, Jimmy Choo and Giuseppe Zanotti have followed suit, offering elevated styles with bold colors, reminiscent of the 90’s trend.

Joy Randolph isn’t the first celebrity to reactive this early aughts trend, celebrities including Emily Blunt and Mariah Carey have been opting for platform heels for their footwear of choice both on and off the red carpet, offering elevation in nostalgic style all in one.

About Platform Heels:

Platform heels are a fashionable footwear option known for their elevated soles that add both height and style. These shoes feature a thicker sole at the front, which gradually tapers towards the back, creating a raised platform under the ball of the foot. This design not only increases height but also offers greater comfort and stability compared to traditional high heels. Platform heels have been a prominent trend on runways and red carpets, favored for their ability to make a statement while providing a comfortable wear. Available in a variety of designs, from classic pumps to strappy sandals, platform heels offer versatility to complement any outfit, making them a popular choice for both formal events and everyday wear.
