Cougar is putting a bouncy new spin on its staple winter boots, thanks to its latest collaboration.
The shoe brand has partnered with Michelin on a capsule line of women’s boots for the cooler months ahead. The trio of shoes, which range from $180-$275, have been revamped with sculpted rubber soles made by the aforementioned tire brand for a technology-focused burst of traction. For added warmth, all feature PrimaLoft insulation — as well as removable molded foam footbeds for a comfortable, personalized touch.
One of the key styles utilizing the shoe base is the label’s new Ultra Nylon Waterproof boots. For this occasion, the $180 style is cast in black, brown and charcoal-gray colorways within a round-toed, lace-up silhouette. Cross-hatched textured panels add a Michelin-inspired burst of texture to its insulated uppers, which are lined with fleece for a soft, warmth-focused feel.
The second shoe in the range is Cougar’s $200 Ultima Nylon Waterproof Winter boots. This style features the same insulated lining as the Ultra style, though it comes in a slightly taller silhouette with mid-height shafts. The pair is cast in monochrome black and black-and-white colorways for added versatility, while overlaid nylon uppers with durable paneling, quilted counters and woven laces — plus the aforementioned soles — make it practical for a range of environments.
Rounding out the winter boot line is the $275 Union boot, which features paneled leather and suede uppers in hues of brown, black and paneled black and light blue. This low-shaft style’s lace-up fronts are set atop durable rubber soles for added traction, while its insulated and lined uppers are given a burst of cozy warmth with thick, soft faux fur collar trim.
