Redefining High Heels: Christian Louboutin’s New ‘Miss Z’ Features Expanded Toe Box and ‘Everlasting’ Red Sole

The French luxury footwear label has unveiled a new high heel model filled with modern updates to the classic red bottoms. Called the “Miss Z” pump, Louboutin is looking to address everyone’s concerns over comfort with several new features.
First seen taking center stage at the Christian Louboutin spring/summer 2025 show during Paris Fashion Week, the Miss Z was featured in a vibrant spectrum of five different metallic colors.
As for how this heel is more comfortable than the brand’s popular So Kate model, Louboutin said in a release that particular attention has been paid to the front of the shoe. Featuring a slightly elongated toe and demure décolleté, the Miss Z is characterized by a somewhat expanded toe box to give the wearer’s feet more room in the front. This is combined with a new padded insole that ensures a more comfortable wearing experience.

What’s more Louboutin has introduced the “everlasting red sole,” a new coated finish that will be used on the Miss Z pump in lieu of the brand’s tradition red lacquer leather sole. According to the company, this new sole is constructed by injecting thermoplastic polyurethane into its standard leather sole. The polished finish of its famous red is given much-extended durability, and the process provides anti-slip grip on the ground for the wearer, Louboutin added.
Interestingly, the shoe’s heel also offers an optical illusion. Indeed, its iconic red sole is subtly highlighted with a cleverly designed heel that manages to create the illusion of being higher than it actually is,” the company noted.
The Miss Z pump will be available in four heel heights, ranging from 60mm to 120mm, as well as an 80mm mule edition. Both styles will be available in a variety of colors and material, including classic patent, five metallic colors in Specchio, and the new seasonal print.
Additionally, an exclusive e-commerce style, the “Miss Z Suola Strass,” will feature the signature red sole adorned with red strass. The e-commerce selection will also include a nude capsule in five different shades.
