Footwear and accessories brand Charles & Keith has linked with Asian American designer Chet Lo on a limited edition collection.
The exciting new collaboration sees the London-based designer reimagine three of Charles & Keith’s most popular shoe styles. The six-piece capsule includes chunky platform mules, lace-up ballet flats, and slingback wedges featuring Lo’s signature Durian fruit-inspired spikes.
Each item in the collection, which also includes a headband and two handbags, comes in three colorway options that serve as a nod to Lo’s aesthetic: Vibrant Red, Vivacious Fuschia and Black. Pricing ranges from $39 to $159.
“For the designs, we really wanted to emulate the femininity and strength of women, incorporating my signature spikes, which signify protection but also a distinct sensuality, Lo shared. “It has honestly been an amazing experience working with an established accessories brand such as Charles & Keith. This collection helps broaden the Chet Lo world which we’ve been working very hard to create,” he added. In addition to the capsule collection, Charles & Keith will also be retailing complete looks from Lo’s spring 2024 collection on its site.
After graduating from Central Saint Martins in 2020, the New York-born designer’s debut solo show in 2022 was received with critical acclaim. Since his launch into the fashion sphere, Lo’s spiky, sheer “popcorn” knitwear designs have been embraced by big names like Zendaya, Dua Lipa, Doja Cat, and Kylie Jenner. Other notable celebrity fans of his work include SZA, Kali Uchis, Micaela Coel and Willow Smith.
The Charles & Keith x Chet Lo collection will be available to shop online via charleskeith.com and chetlo.com on Jan. 23.
