Steph Curry‘s electric performance to help Team USA collect the Olympic gold medal Saturday will quickly be followed up with the sneakers he wore for the occasion going on sale.

The Under Armour Curry 12 ‘Podium’ back sees the release of both Team USA colorways worn by the superstar throughout the Olympic men’s basketball tournament. Available with either blue or white uppers, the former of which Curry wore for the gold medal game, the Curry 12’s debut colorways are otherwise almost identical in their arrangements. A blue and red gradient midsole TPU insert hosts the Curry logo within the white sole unit, while red forms the heel stabilizer, heel pull and mudguard. The Curry logo appears again on the tongue in white for the blue pair and red on the white. Patterned laces are then made up of blue and red and red and white on the blue and white colorways, respectively.

“Every year we try and improve upon design and innovation and this year I think we have something special, a sleeker design unlike any previous [sneaker,]” Curry said in a press release. “My team designed this model to help players accelerate and cut with precision without sacrificing comfort. I’ve been breaking them in this summer and looking forward to releasing them to everyone.”

On the tech front, the Curry 12 features a new ratio for dual UA Flow foam and the same outsole technology that’s appeared in the line since 2020 as a continuous part of the midsole rather than a separate, attached piece. A lightweight Peblax plate appears at midfoot with another segmented piece at the forefoot for better flexibility and support.

The upper makes use of a new “expressive” engineered mesh pattern for zonal support and better breathability, as well as more customization for the fit in conjunction with articulated eyelets. A thinner, molded tongue also features pocket of foam for added comfort.

“At Curry Brand, we are committed to making sneakers that allow Stephen to do his thing on the court and perform at the highest level,” Curry Brand general manager Ryan Drew said in a press release. “With the Curry 12, we have done that, integrating our advanced technology from past iterations with an elevated design that will help us tell a unique story with each and every colorway. We are very excited to keep pushing into the future with the Curry 12 and bring this sneaker to the masses.”

Following the limited-edition release for the Curry 12 this week, Under Armour has confirmed to Footwear News that model will get a wider launch in the fall.

The Under Armour Curry 12 “Podium Pack” will release Wednesday, July 14, through Under Armour’s website. Pricing is set at $140.
