After months of rumors, official images have finally surfaced for Travis Scott‘s Air Jordan 1 Low Golf “Olive.”
The overlapping section in a Venn diagram for Scott and golfing enthusiasts may not strike most as large, but the sneaker at-hand doesn’t immediately scream golf either. Instead of spikes, the AJ1 Low gets a new outsole with a more aggressive tread pattern and hardened rubber in its tailoring to the golf course. Wearing it will feel different underfoot — but not so much so that it won’t be wearable in lifestyle settings, and Scott’s rabid fanbase is sure to do.
Scott’s Air Jordan 1 Low Golf shoe maintains the desert aesthetic that’s been a throughline for his Jordan Brand and Nike collaborations. A faded “Olive” suede forms the base layers and outsole, while each of the overlays, save for the lateral Swoosh, arrive in white leather to match the midsole and laces. Scott’s signature backwards Swoosh stands out in black on the lateral side, as does a special Jordan Golf tongue tag in neon green. The color then repeats for the mismatched embroidery on the mustache featuring the Jordan Wings logo and Scott’s Cactus Jack face logo. Rounding out the flourishes is the Cactus Jack cross logo sitting beneath a white, front-facing Swoosh on the shoes medial, as well as a mismatched arrangement of all the previously mentioned marks on the two insoles.
