This year marks the 30th anniversary of the “Tekken” franchise first hitting arcades, and Nike will commemorate one of the video game’s original characters with a special edition of the Air Foamposite One.
The “Tekken 8” x Nike Air Foamposite One “Fist” will release in September and is loaded with detailing inspired by Kazuya Mishima, protagonist of the first game and antagonist from the second on. The shoe’s name is in part based on Mishima’s signature “Fist” moves, and a logo calling out the moniker appears beneath the translucent outsole. A cracked pattern covers the iridescent blue and purple upper as a nod to Mishima’s crock-skin jacket, and the sockliner and insole take on a custom red pattern. Logos for “Tekken” can also be found on the mismatched insoles and tongue.
Some may be drawn most to the Air Foamposite One’s packaging, which features the normal Nike and Penny marks on the sleeve. The box that pulls out features the cover art from “Tekken 8” on the top and its logo on the sides and splits open to reveal the sneakers inside.

Nike will also reportedly release another Air Foamposite One “Fate” for the character Jin Kazama, but official images for it have not yet surfaced. The original bio for Mishima states that his hobby is collecting sneakers.
“Tekken 8” released at the top of the year, and its storyline is dubbed “Fist Meets Fate” and sees Kazama have to confront his father Mishima. The game has been widely praised and sold more than 2 million copies worldwide in the first month after its launch.
The “Tekken 8” x Nike Air Foamposite One “Fist” will release in September, although a more precise release date and price have yet to be confirmed. This post will be updated as more information becomes available.
