New reports of an official collaboration between Swarovski and Jordan Brand have apparently cleared up some of the details that originally surrounding the upcoming sneaker, due to release in 2025.

Initially rumored to use the Air Jordan 1 High silhouette, new information shared by sources including @zsneakerheadz on Instagram clarify that the pair in question is instead expected to be the Air Jordan 1 Low OG model. In-hand images of the Nike, Inc. offshoot’s new project with the Austrian luxury company aren’t yet available, but a speculative mock-up (below) provides an idea of what readers could expect come ’25.

Using a simple “Stealth/Stealth” color code, it appears that the collaboration will don a mostly tonal gray — or in this case, a shimmering silver — look. It’s not yet known how much of the sneaker will be bedazzled in Swarovski’s crystals, but previous Nike collaborations with the brand have been liberal in their use of the stones, so a similar approach could be executed here.

The Swarovski x Air Jordan 1 Low OG is set to release exclusively in women’s sizing for a retail price of $1,000 and marks the first collaboration between the two brands. However, it’s far from the first time Nike has worked with Swarovski. Their partnership began nearly a decade ago in 2017, when Nike encrusted its iconic Air Max 97 “Silver Bullet” sneaker with 55,000 individual crystals. That pair went on to release in several other styles, and the brand’s relationship continued to flourish with shoes including the Air Force 1, Air VaporMax 2 and Ja 1. Perhaps most famously, Swarovski stones were used on Cactus Plant Flea Market’s Dunk Low colorways from 2020, both of which resell for thousands.

Most recently, Nike confirmed in its June SNKRS Showcase preview that it would release a Swarovski version of the fan-favorite Air Max Plus during holiday 2024.

As of publishing, this women’s Swarovski x Air Jordan 1 Low OG will reportedly be released May 15, but it’s possible that could change between now and then. This post will be updated with the latest developments including images and launch information.
