Adidas Is Selling $440 Baseball Cleats That Are Covered in Swarovski Crystals

It’s going to be hard to miss Julio Rodríguez of the Seattle Mariners next week when he steps onto the baseball field.

Adidas announced early Monday that it has teamed up with Swarovski on a limited-edition pair of the Adizero Impact+ baseball cleat. The look, which will be replete with Swarovski crystals, will be worn on the field by Rodríguez — who became an Adidas athlete in March 2023 — on Sept. 17 and 18 (both games are home against the New York Yankees).

For fans interested in purchasing a pair, Adidas has created 44 pairs for sale, which will arrive on Adidas.com on Sept. 17. Creating 44 pairs, Adidas explained, was done “in honor of the iconic No. 44 worn by Rodríguez and all-time baseball legends. It will retail for $440.

Additionally, Adidas confirmed the fans in the J-Rod Squad at T-Mobile Park in Seattle — which the brand started sponsoring in March 2024 — will be given exclusive iced-out T-shirts for the Sept. 17 game. The J-Rod Squad section, according to MLB.com, includes any seat in sections 102-104.

Although Rodríguez has only been in Major League Baseball (MLB) for two seasons, his impact on the league and the game has been felt. He is both a two-time MLB All-Star and two-time Silver Slugger Award winner, and earned American League Rookie of the Year honors in 2022.
