Tiger Woods’ Sun Day Red Releases New Golf Shoe, the Wingtip-Inspired Pioneer Magnolia
Tiger Woods and TaylorMade Golf‘s Sun Day Red has dropped its latest golf shoe, the wingtip-inspired Pioneer Magnolia. Offered in three colorways, the $275 shoe is available to shop now.
Woods remained involved throughout the development of his brand’s latest creation, insisting upon low-profile sole architecture that improves stability and control by keeping the golfer closer to the ground. Meanwhile, the Blucher throat construction lets the shoe adapt to the foot.
The Pioneer Magnolia features premium full grain waterproof leather with brogue detailing and pinked edges. The shoes come with two sets of laces, one option being waxed to maximize tie-down performance and the other colored for additional flair. The shoes also include two removable insoles, with the options being Custom Massage and Smooth. The Pioneer Magnolia additionally features an EVA foam midsole with 6 mm head-to-toe drop to support stability while swinging. A 9-cleat configuration on the high-density TPU outsole provides reliable traction. Lastly, a double-stitched storm welt enhances both durability and style.
The Pioneer Magnolia comes in three colorways: White/Silver, Black/Silver and Off-White/Black. Australian golfer Karl Vilips, Sun Day Red’s inaugural brand ambassador, is set to wear the new shoe throughout the upcoming 2025 Valspar Championship.

Charley Hudak, Sun Day Red’s senior creative director, said, “We attempted to modernize the design of a classic wingtip while maintaining a heritage feel, but make no mistake, following our ‘athlete comes first’ mantra with Tiger, the technical underpinnings of the Magnolia are what truly set it apart. Performance is core to everything we do.”
Sun Day Red’s first golf shoe, the Pioneer Cypress, hit the market last year in December.
“We plan to create shoes that are needed for everything around the game of golf,” Hudak told FN around the release of the Pioneer Cypress. “I’m talking like recovery and training to even something Tiger would need to wear when he is collecting an award. So, we are currently working towards a place now where we’re going to be on a consistent release calendar with the rest of the brands in the space. And, I think by 2026, we’ll have a lot of silhouettes out in the market.”
Woods started his own venture alongside TaylorMade Golf in 2024 after a departure from Nike, with whom he had a partnership for 27 years.
