StockX will now begin accepting returns.

The resale platform announced a new policy Wednesday that will allow buyers to return certain items within a 14-day window. StockX says items eligible for return will be decided based on the exact product and size and that, as of today, over half of all trades can be returned. Customers will receive a refund in the form of StockX credit, minus the original cost of shipping.

Previously, StockX wouldn’t accept refunds for reason of remorse, such as fit issues or unhappiness, but would upon review in cases of damaged product (including boxes).

Sellers will not be affected by StockX’s return policy in any way. They won’t be required to handle the product or have their payment or selling status affected. In fact, they won’t even be notified when a return is made.

“Our new Returns Policy is a testament to our commitment to providing a seamless and secure shopping experience,” StockX said in a post announcing the new policy. “Alongside our No Fee Resale and Buyer Promise, you can shop confidently on StockX knowing that we have your back.”

Eligibility for purchases has been backdated to October 15, 2024. Buyers can initiate a return through the Buyer History section of their profile. Returned items will then need to be verified by StockX to confirm they’re in the same condition as they were when delivered. Both the StockX tag and sticker must remain attached.

Purchases eligible for returns will also have to be made using a StockX account. Those who use the Guest Checkout option won’t be able to make a return.

From now on, product listings for items eligible for returns will be labeled as such on StockX.
