Longtime collaborators SoleFly and Jordan Brand are reconnecting to cap off the year with a new take on the iconic Air Jordan 12.

Previewed Wednesday via images shot by photographer Daniel Zuliani, the SoleFly x Air Jordan 12 collaboration was worn by Jaime Jaquez Jr. of the Miami Heat, who’s also a Jordan Brand athlete. Keeping with the local theme, the Miami-based boutique’s latest Air Jordan collaboration is reportedly inspired by the significance of coffee culture in the Latin community.

To tell the caffeine-driven story, SoleFly draped the Air Jordan 12 in classic two-tone color blocking with details that tie back to the beverage. The shoe’s white upper has been given a premium cracked leather look which is said to be inspired by the look of a coffee mug.

Elsewhere, the shoe’s mudguard, which is usually textured with a faux reptile finish, is tweaked with a smooth mocha-esque brown leather look. Meanwhile, the plastic “Jumpman” tag features a glossy look. At the heel, the traditional “Jordan: quality inspired by the greatest player ever” text and molded 23 logo remains, but the pull tab’s usual Jumpman logo has been replaced with SoleFly’s branding. It’s likely that the collaboration features other unseen details, but this is what can be discerned from the first-look photographs.

SoleFly has numerous Air Jordan collaborations already under its belt, many of which reference the local community and Miami’s Latin heritage. In 2023, the store delivered a “Mi Casa Es Su Casa” Air Jordan 8. To date, its most coveted collaborations include the “Lotto” Air Jordan 3 and two Art Basel-themed Air Jordan 1 Highs.

With a full colorway of “White/Baroque Brown/Sail” and a SKU of FZ5026-100, the SoleFly x Air Jordan 12 is currently expected to be released during Miami’s Art Basel fair on Dec. 6 for a retail price of $225. This story will be updated as more details are confirmed.
