After two years without an update, Saucony has debuted the latest running shoe in its acclaimed max-cushioned Hurricane franchise.

Available now is the Hurricane 24, a daily trainer that Saucony said was “completely redesigned” and “transformed from the ground up.” The look is replete with top-tier proprietary technology and contains recycled materials.

“The 24th edition of the Hurricane is back in the lineup after a two-year hiatus as our most cushioned
trainer yet. Designed for maximum comfort and protection, the Hurricane 24 is suitable for various activities, whether a long run, a short recovery shake out or just everyday comfort,” Saucony chief product officer Brian Moore said in a statement.

In terms of tech, Saucony took a dual-cushioning approach with the Hurricane 24, pairing its energy-returning and responsive Pwrrun PB foam directly underfoot with a supportive Pwrrun foam frame to cradle the foot. Saucony also included its CenterPath Technology, which the brand explained provides comfort and protection with a broader platform, higher sidewalls and an asymmetric profile and rocker shape “that guides the runner’s stride from impact to toe-off.” The shoe also features breathable engineered mesh uppers, an adaptive lacing system and the brand’s XT 900 outsoles for full coverage ground traction and durability.

“This shoe’s dual-cushioning approach features the innovative energy returning Pwrrun PB foam developed for our Endorphin series but now tuned to provide everyday cushioning, combined with a supportive cradle of our Pwrrun foam for maximum protection,” Moore said in a statement. “Centerpath Technology utilizes higher sidewalls, a broader platform and a rocker shape to align the foot and ease it from heel to toe; you’ll feel like your feet are getting a cozy, protective hug with every step.”

The Saucony Hurricane 24 is available now via Saucony.com in both men’s and women’s sizes, and retails for $160.
